Girl Dream

My first Sweet Pea Stamps post is up. I colored Karen Middleton’s way to cute Unicorn Dream stamp, and I really love how the card turned out. It’s now happily living on a shelf in a little girls room.

You can see the entire post here at the Sweet Pea Stamps DT blog.

New phone cover

I’ve been down with the flu real bad, so haven’t had to much time for anything. Did do this phone cover though . Steampunk style. I’m guessing the chain will get stuck in everything, but I really really like it there.

I’ve already ordered two more covers, cause this is really addictive, and I want to make more in different styles.

Thanks for watching and have an awesome day.

Get more out of your clear stamps

This time at The Paper Crafting, I’m showing how I get more out of my clear stamps, by actually cutting them apart. You can find the article and video here. As always, the text and video is in danish.

I made it…

…to the Sweet Pea Stamps design team. And I am so thrilled and happy. I bought my first Sweet Pea stamps back in 2010…in fact, hang on…let me just find one of the first Sweet Pea images i colored…

A lot has happened since then, including coloring skills. But my love for the beautiful images Sweet Pea Stamps offers has never changed.

And now I have the perfect excuse to always sit an color, drinking tea and listening to music.

Another Aurora Wings card

But how can I not, with such gorgeous images. This one is Rite of Spring, and I won her, in one of Mitzis fun contests at her Facebook Group. If you’re not there, you really should be. Lots of fun, lots of sweet people and lots of gorgeous images. And freebies! Go go go…

I had issues with sticky ink, so I had to redo a lot of the face with my Prismacolor pencils. Luckily they useally do the trick.

I used the following colors:

Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, E13, peach, beige, light peach
Blush: R20, R21, R22
Purple: V000, V20, V22, V25, V28, V99
Pink: RV00, R81, R83, R85
Green: G40, G43, G82
Background: W0, W1

Papers are from My Mind’s Eye, I think it’s the Bramble Rose collection, but can’t remember. Could be Sweetest Thing. I used a Spellbinders die to cut it into shape. Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and some lace ribbon I had lying around. It really all came together rather quickly

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Have a great day.

Copic Storage…again

I’m carzy busy this week, so no scrapbooking video. But I did manage to get my new Copic Storage solution ‘on tape’. I really like how this is working for me, and it means I get a lot more coloring done.

That, and I just get so inspired by seeing all those yummy colors every morning when I sit down to work. Love it.

In the ‘old’ storage solution video, I go through my Copic books in more detail. If you’d like to watch, it’s right here:

Thanks for watching and have a great week.

Adventure of a lifetime

I just recently discovered Aurora Wings, and immediately had to buy two of her digital stamps, cause WOW! Just WOW!

This is the first one I colored in, it’s the Warrior and his Pack of Wolves. I can see this used for so many cards for the guys. I love his pose, the dynamics of the wolves. I was actually considering making the ground rock instead of ice, but felt it would look a little odd with the shoe going into the ground. But I really feel this is a very strong impact motif. Love it!

I definitely need to go back and stock up on more of her pretty images. Cause WOW! Anyway, I used the following Copics, Prismacolors and distress inks to color:

Skin: E0000, E000, E21, Light Peach, Peach, Beige
Gray wolves: W0, W1, W2, W4
Brown wolf and fur: E40, E30, E31, E34
Leather: E43, E44, E47
Strings: W2, W4, W6
Greens: G82, G94, G99
Sword: C0, C1, C2, C4, C5, C6
Hair: T3, T5, T7
Ice: BG0000, B0000, B000, 0
Background: Weathered wood and Black Soot.

I also used Cool Grey 70% prismacolor around the image to add depth to the lovely young fellow there. I might just go back and add a bit more contrast to the ice. Not quite the depth I’d like it to have.

The small sentiment stamp is by Whimsy Stamps, but I can’t remember what the set is called. I used papers from My Minds Eye Bramble Rose collection, and the gears are made using Tim Holtz gear dies (both the big set and small set). They were cut in grey chipboard, colored with vintage photo distress ink, and then covered in vintage photo distress embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by my blog.
